ABOUT THE WRITER

Clyde Delos Reyes is currently a seminarian at the Mary Help of Christians Theology Seminary in San Fabian, Pangasinan. Born in the humble city of San Carlos in Pangasinan, on the 30th of June, he admits that he doesn't stand tall at all, yet he is hopeful of his spirit that dreams of the Heavens.

He puts into writing the fruits of his prayers and reflections and prays that these may help whoever might stumble upon them, just as he has been helped in the many articles and quotation he frequently stumbles upon on the internet or in books and other publications. When he doesn't reflect and write, he spends his time with a piano, playing with his heart as a music enthusiast. He yearns for the time when he could express with much soul, that the music he plays would uplift the spirits of those who hear and eventually bring them closer to God.

He asks for the prayers of his family, friends, acquaintances and neighbors to pray that he may persevere in his struggling response to his vocation. In return, he includes all in his prayers and gives his word to give all that he has to be of service to his brothers and sisters in Christ. He deeply appreciates the generosity of God through the people around him and constantly does his best to always pay it forward.

CONVERSION OR CHANGE?

Remember this line. It's an overused line used to describe the reality of this world which is the permanence of change. But change, when used, may refer to either movement for better or for worse. There is another word that means change, but at a level deeper than change itself: conversion. Let us seek more wisdom as we reflect on this Sunday's Mass readings. Conversion is change. September 10, 2017 23 rd Sunday in Ordinary Time First reading (Ezekiel 33:7-9) Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 95:1-9) Second reading (Romans 13:8-10) Gospel (Matthew 18:15-20) There are three moments in LOOKING at our neighbor which are: LOOKING FOR, LOOKING AT and LOOKING AFTER The first moment, LOOKING FOR, means recognizing our neighbor as brothers and sisters. In our first reading (from the book of the prophet Ezekiel), we hear of who the prophet Ezekiel is to be: a watcher, a keeper; and who the House of Israel is to be: the watched, the kept, the cared for. Today, have we understood who we have to be to our neighbor? Have we realized who our neighbor is to us?
